AR carbine stock to rifle stock...what do I need to know?

This may qualify as a dumb question, but whatever....

I want to replace the collapsible stock on my LR-308 with a rifle stock..specifically this one . I know I need a rifle length buffer tube, rifle buffer and spring, but does it make any difference what length the barrel/gas tube is? IE...does the gas setup need to be rifle length too?

As I say, possibly a dumb question but I sure don't want to find out later....

The gun will work just fine with the mentioned components, nothing else is required for proper function. However, do be sure you buy the .308 specific Spring and Buffer, as they are physically different from their AR15 counterparts.
