Kidd Match barrels

The dlask barrel are capable of 1/2 inch at 50. They are heavy but a great quality barrel.
Also give mystic precision a shout he has Mc Gowen barrels in Stock most of the time.

Ordered my Kidd MATCH barrel tonight, it's going on the TacSol X-Ring, this better shoot 1/4" groups @ 50yds or it's getting the EE

Make sure the barrel/receiver fit is tight. Better be darn sure before you start sanding anything. I believe a good receiver/barrel fitment is critical in all 10/22 rigs

i had a good talk with Joe from Dlask a couple years back and that was the #1 thing he said to me.
if the barrel isn't tight in there its no good.

Putting the barrel in the freezer works very well if it's too tight.you can also use a heat gun on the receiver but I didn't have to. I just froze the barrel and gently tapped it in. Much better than sanding.

if it doesn't fit. I'm not sanding it. I'll just buy another receiver

Not sure you understand. Tighter is better. If it absolutely doesn't fit its okay to sand it. Generally you want to heat the receiver and cool the barrel. You may have to beat that suck pretty good to get it to fit.

I fit a McGowen barrel on a Dlask receiver with no sanding. I later got a Kidd UL and tried to fit it without sanding. There wasn't anyway that it would fit. I had no choice but to sand it. I had the barrel in the freezer and the receiver in the oven at 200F.The Kidd barrel shank is a little oversized so that you get a tight fit. Having to sand is a good thing. The trick is absolutely minimal sanding and make sure its friggin tight.

yes I understand, I have read reviews & seen KiDD install videos also I'm not a fan of hitting the crown to install. also the other trick is to sand it even all around so it's not lopsided
