bit of news. Norma to invade canada

When I bought my first M38 Swede in mid 80's ammo was not easy to find other than surplus. Bought myself 60 new Norma brass and a set of dies. Still using that brass. One box has been loaded more than 20 times. These were all mid range loads with jacketed bullets.
Came across 5 boxes of the same new brass at a small show a couple years back. Guy wanted 6 bucks a box. Bought it all. Sometimes you smile all the way home.

Also use Norma brass in my 6.5x52 Carcanos.

Norma brass for weird, I would expect to have a premium over the premium. Either that, I don't shoot weird.
:d.

Exactly. If people want to shoot oddball calibers you are going pay for it. If you don't like the quality of Norma brass or can't afford it then one should get away from that caliber. Nobody is forcing anyone to buy Norma products. If you're unhappy that Norma is the only one who makes it, then perhaps you made some poor choices in choosing a caliber.

I'm personally happy that I can get the brass I want from Norma, just not so much with some of the dealers who were previously trying to sell it here. I welcome the influx of their product into the Canadian market.

The Swedes are coming...the Swedes are coming!!!

I have used [as I could get it] Norma powders for over 45 years. They have always been superb.
I have loaded MRP in everything from the 6mm Remington right up to the 338 Win Mag with success.

I would be very pleased to see Norma components become readily available in Canada.
Dave.

The options to supply Norma brass has been available for some time. Great stuff but most don't want to spend that much for an empty case.

There are plenty of options out there if budget is not an issue.

I have been offering great performing alternatives at lesser costs for those interested.

On this note, I don't know if any of you noticed but WSS is selling "Weatherby Elite" ammunition. My friend purchased 3 boxes of .257 with 100gr bullets. The box says the bullets are Norma and the headstamp is Weatherby. Price was $54.99/box which is pretty much the same as a box a brass. They had .300 Wby +180gr Norma SP for the same price and .270 Wby with 130gr Norma SP for $55.99. I suspected it was just Norma ammunition in Weatherby packaging.
