Underrated pistols. What guns do you think not getting their due attention?

Seems like everyone is all about Shadow 2 lately and before that the shadow 1 and the rest of steel CZ's have became the the best thing since sliced bread. If not CZ than Glocks. (Some 5 years ago it all was about Sigs and HKs...) Being an owner of CZ and Glock I know first had they are great guns and mine will always be a staple in my collection, but I feel lots of other great guns are getting overlooked.

My top two would be;
Polymer - CZ P-07 - compact, very good trigger, great accuracy and not overpriced (for a CZ :ninja:)
Metal - Girsan (Beretta copy) great quality, based on a proven. accurate and reliable.

The S&W M&P line or the SIG P320 maybe?
No experience with P320, but I think M&P did have its time 'at the top' when it came out 9-10 years ago, I had a 3 of them myself, but after Glock came out with the gen4 and other companies followed with modular grip guns M&P fall back down the pack.

Steyr L9-A1
Interesting choice. I had M9-A1 10 years ago and it was probably the worst polymer gun I've had...

Funny..I was going to say the Steyr too...never owned or shot one but on my try list...rocking the sig320....awesome pistol...

The IWI Jericho.
It's no IPSC gun, but it's a great gun for people who just want to shoot. Put 500-1k rounds though it and it smooth's out real nice. They're usually around $700 can. Build quality is good. Clean and elegant look to it. One of my favorites

X2.

A really nice pistol, great quality and a perfect weight with a good trigger. Completely under-rated and equal to most pistols almost double its value.

Candocad.

Good thread. I guess a lot of it depends on what the criteria is, if we are talking underrated for the price (queue the clones) or underrated for the intended purpose, or simply unknown.

Pardini GT centrefire target pistols were somewhat underrated or unknown in NA until recently.
Since they have worked out some initial teething problems, the Arsenal Strike One pistols seem to get rave reviews and have a number of innovative features.

For me, I am still stuck in the past, marvelling at guns like the P7s and P9s which are hardly underrated.

Interesting that many are saying the 320. I'll have to take a harder look at it.

Almost got one of these but read about irregular ejection of brass in the shooters face. Have you experienced this? Some hate the look but I personally think it's a great looking pistol.
Oh, yes! its been 10 years so reading that brought some memories back of me trying to dodge the brass every time I pull the trigger LOL

I think they fixed it in a1. I shot rental L9A1 and It has a long frame compared to M. Low bore axis. It's a better version of Glock. And look where Glocks are and where Steyr is.

But question was about under appreciated, doesn't mean it is the best. I personally in love with PPQ.

2500+ rounds through my FNS 9 LS and not a hiccup, not a gun with a huge following, but very well made, incredibly accurate, great sights, and it looks as good as the day I got it. I have not been shooting for a long time, but I have shot an M&P, a Glock, a Beretta, and a Canik, and I think the FN is as good a gun as any I have tried, and honestly better than most I have tried, for me anyway. Only drawback is the trigger is not " fantastic " , but as a newby I really don't know what fantastic is anyway. My buddy has the Canik, and it is also a very nice gun.

Walther PPQ M2 and H&K SFP9 are both great pistols and a lot of people pass on them because... they are not Glock or don't have aftermarket parts (actually they don't need it).

I think the most underrated pistol i have is the Beretta Model 71 in 22lr... it never jams, it shoot very well and take all kind of ammo. At the range a lot of people don't know this pistol at all...

If you factor price, I'd say the fns 9l and the cz p09. Unfortunately though the p09 is quickly pricing itself out of the canadian market. It is the poor man's shadow but now at around $870, you might as well spend the extra hundred and buy the shadow.
