Just so everyone is aware of Bushnell's new warranty... Lifetime, unconditional, over the counter anywhere in North America. If the dealer doesn't have your scope in stock... you get the next model up at no charge.
This applies to the 3500 elite line and up
I have a Burris Signature Safari 1.75 -5x 32 on a .375 H&H. It was probably a 400-500 dollar scope when I purchased it and has been issue free.
It is mounted on a QD mount so that you could hit a release and it would shed scope rings, mount base and be down to the express sight instantly.
I have had to shed it a few times which means it took the recoil from the 375 AND being dumped on the ground. It is still as accurate as ever.
Mine have done good job. Doubling the budget opens other options too.
Fortunately not true for Nikon, all of our glass is sourced from the only hunting optics company that is also glass manufacturer as well. Nikon! Even our entry level Buckmasters. All of our scopes come from the Philippines with the exception of the Prostaff 7 30mm line. Quality control is a point of pride within our company through all divisions and although like all manufacturers customers will come across the odd lemon I feel fairly confident that our failure rate would be very competitive with the best in the industry.
(We also have no restrictions on size of calibre for any of our scopes, even Buckmasters.)
For starters... the NF NXS is a Second Focal Plane design which doesn't compare at all to the AMG which is a FFP. You'd be better off to compare the ATACR F1 which is easily $600 more than the AMG. The AMG is built 100% in the USA with materials sourced in the USA as well. Frank from SH went and toured the factory as they were developing these scopes. Not sure you actually care about the facts though since you just seem to have a made up your mind about Vortex based on your experience with their cheapest models.
colud you tell me where the lenses in USA are coming from?

I believe the glass is coming out of Massachusetts.
I'm certain that Zeiss manufacturers their own glass (Schott) as does Schmidt and Bender...
Where are the older Nikon Monarchs made? (I would guess entirely in Japan) I have an old one from the days of glossy finish on my CZ combination that is an excellent scope. Where is the new Prostaff 7 line made if not made the same place as the other lines?

Glass is ground, polished and coated right in their facility in Wisconsin according to Frank from Snipershide

asked them. as so far it was coming from Schott (germany) grinding by Marumi (Japan) and coatings by Nikkor (Japan).
No argument from me. Thing is 80% of us can't afford them. Families get prioritized.
