Mossberg International 715P Pistol

they already did over a year ago. Mossberg wanted owners to ship 25 round mags to gretch outdoors for a 10 round swap. this is the reason the new ones only come with 10 round mags.
the pistol was available through IRG and fishing world maybe more but the only two I know of.

I can tell you first hand, I've had the RCMP seize my 715T rifle and all of the 25 round magazines with it and they were all returned later on. (They were not seized because of what they are by themselves.)

If there were prohibited they would have nailed me on possession of prohibited devices, let alone not returned them.

The 25 rounders were made DESIGNED FOR A RIFLE, and that is the end of it.

TRUST ME, the RCMP were going hard to nail me on anything to make their case stick during that situation.............end result all property returned and investigation terminated.

It was a "firearms" case so people in the know (CFO's) were at my house and went through everything I own and nothing wrong was found. :)

I agree with you. I've never sent mine in and still use them. but Mossberg did want owners to send in there mags for 10 round ones and they are no longer able export the 715t with 25 round mags. I've kept my packaging for the extra 25 round mags that I have and they say for 715t rifle only and were purchased before the pistol was available. I would fight it if they charged me with anything as well.
Mossberg did release this for us Canadians;

****ATTENTION: CANADIAN 715T 25-ROUND MAGAZINE NOTICE***
O.F. Mossberg introduced the new 715P, 22LR Semi-Auto Pistol at the 2014 SHOT Show in Las Vegas. This model will use the same 25-round magazine as our 715T, .22LR Semi-Auto Rifles. According to Canadian law, all 25-round 715T rifle magazines are now prohibited in Canada.

To our distributors, dealers and consumers in Canada: O.F. Mossberg will replace any 25-round magazines you currently have with a 10-round magazine. Please contact Grech Outdoors for information about replacing your 715T 25-round magazine. Grech Outdoors 115 Fergus St South Mount Forest, ON N0G 2L0 519-509-4867 grechoutdoors@wightman.ca

Yep saw that plenty and that is only an interpretation of our laws by Mossberg, no change in law regarding them as they are all designed for a rifle.

Good to see other people are still enjoying their legally obtained property. :)

Grove,

Sorry to hear you had to go through all that BS.. Im glad you got all your stuff back! Sounds like you ran into a real POS for a cop. It sucks when they are jerks and it is even worse when they have no clue what their legally entitled to do and start makin stuff up. I find the majority fall in the clueless category.

Did you have any 10/22 mags at home? If you did what did the CFO's say about them?

What makes the Ruger mag situation any different than the Mossberg. Or is it just the same?

I gotta run around and grab supplies for the Stave Lake Cleanup right now but I'll post back on this topic when I get home.

Ok so it was November 2014 when I had everything seized.

No 10/22 magazines were around here at that time, but sure was grilled to hell and back because I had AR mags around and no firearm at the time that used them......tho their records clearly shows the Norinco AR I owned beforehand I'm still presumed to be a piece of #### the way things went down.

Sure sucks having ERT show up at your place and having all of your guns UNCASED pranced in front of all your neighbors watching whats going on for over 3 hours.
