Anyone have experience 'fire forming' 308 to 6.5 creedmoor?

Thanks. How much pistol powder did you use? (For example, if I was using Titegroup pistol powder)

---I use18 grs of Unique--fill to the neck base with Cream of wheat (I use corn meal)---tap a small piece of tissue or cleaning patch on top---fire and you have 6.5 Creedmoor----Bent Barrel

Hey Bent
Do you use pistol primers or what do you use.I read somewhere fill to top of neck with pistol powder and weigh then go 10 % of the weight with powder but to use pistol primers.Could someone elaborate a little more on that, not sure if that is correct.
I have sized 22-250 brass and shot it with a light load and it usally groups around 1/2 to 3/4 inch group.Tried some loads today with H380 and 139 scenars and all 3 loads were 1/2 " and under.Just thought since I have lots of h380 and the hogdons reloading magazine had a load for 140 amaxs I would try it out .Seems to work good and according to the load data it just about matches imr4350 speeds and I am getting low on that and h4350.

Thanks Bent barrel, did 30 and worked great,I had some that I ran threw the fl sizing die and was going to load with bullets but fireformed them first and they came out 1.895 for length.the ones that weren't sized came out at 1.912. Not sure witch will be better but will keep them separate and see what ones last longer.
Thanks again

Also thanks to the folks that have posted to my question. Once again I've asked the wrong question (Should have asked 'what is the best brass to fire form to 6.5 creedmoor, and what makes it best'). I'm a lot smarter (almost as smart as a 5th grader I think!) having read all the comments and replies.
BCSteve: I get your point now. The .308 requires a lot of prework, so it really wouldn't be 'fireforming'
Bent barrel: Thanks!
Bubba300: What brass did you use? I've got some 22-250 that is once fire range pick ups.

I used new Remington,I was going to H20 capacity test some cases and see what case will hold but haven't yet.I think if I was going 308 I would get some 260rem or 243 win in Lapua, trim ,chamfer, debur and fireform.
Good luck

Can't remember for sure, buddy lent me some HS6 and I kept increasing the amount until a nice sharp shoulder was formed...12 or 14 grs. I think but not positive.

Slight thread derailment because I am just curious, can you load a 6.5 Creedmoor into a .308 chamber? My .308 and 6.5 CM ammo look very similar and I am just wondering what would happen if I ever mixed one by accident.

^^the 6.5 creedmoor looks just a necked down 308, so id assume you could load a 6.5 in a 308 as long as it fit and it would be ok as it would just fireform it into a 308.

Edit: missed that one. Did want wrong info out there
