Please help identify this Walther PPK accessory...

Wife has RPAL...unfortunately I am referring to my "step-father", not my father-in-law. She would love that though...her having a prohib and me not. She would like it when I begged to use it though...I know her "soft" spots... :)

Where's mom? Maybe it could be left to her and in turn left to you

Our laws make me sick. Your father doesn't have to be biological.

You have my vote!

I asked her about that. When she realized she would have to pass a test related to firearms, she just gave me the evil eye and said "I ain't no Ma Baker...he had plenty of guns...you'll just have to choose something else to remember him by". At which point she gave me a hug and a pat on the head...like I was still 6 years old. V:I:

Neat! Waded through a box of (dozens) of holsters last night and what should I find? ... an old PPK holster to go wit the gun. This should make quite a nice little package for someone.

Did you try a temper tantrum? Might work... Lol.
Seriously though... Your mom is the only hope. A calm rational discussion might change her mind. It is a valuable piece of family history.
It still bugs me that the rcmp think they get to define family.

I see her this weekend and will give it another go. Your statement quoted above may just trigger some feelings of compassion toward the situation. She leans toward being a sentimentalist so of all the possible approaches, I believe it has the most chance of succeeding.

You need to be able to pass this on to your kids!

CFC just got back to me...not pre '46. Not sure what they based their assertion on but not going to pursue it further, I have other fish to fry. Going to put this up on the EE soon, once I get all the pictures together. Thanks everyone for your input and support!

If your wife has a prohib licence is it a 12.6 or 12.7? If 12.6 just transfer it to her and then it can be past down to your kids if you can get proof that it is pre 1946.
