I hope it doesn't rattle her teeth! What other cartridges do they come in? 7mm-08? I might order one for someone dear. What location did you order from?

they had 243 which she already has, but not 7-08...the 308 with 150-165 bullets should do her fine I'm hoping....gun still weighs 6.75 lbs without a scope not like its an ultra light.
 
Good deal....I'll have to scratch my head on this one. I happen to have a Bell & Carlson Weatherby stock sitting at home waiting for a rifle to go on...

A buddy's daughter has been shooting a Savage 99 in .308 since she was 10 and about 80lbs. She's 13 now and about 95lbs, still her favorite rifle and it has zero for a recoil pad, plastic or metal buttplate or whatever.
And when I say shooting, she will sit and bench shoot it until there's no ammo left.

That's an awfully small sample size. I'm sure most of us know of grown men that aren't comfortable with a .308 and any bullet weight. I can think of 3 off the top of my head.

It's a curable disease that "recoil sensitivity".... it's cured with practice.
Unless buddy has osteoporosis and breaks bones shooting a .308 then I'll give him a pass lol.
This 90lb girl was shooting a 300 Win Mag when she was 12 off the bench too and loving it.

Yeah I am glad that I went right ahead and ordered a .243 without hesitation. I was close to getting the Girls hunt 2 version when Cabelas had them for 499 two weeks ago, glad I waited. I have been waiting for the right time for over a year now!
 
Damn i wanted one in 243 but don't have money til the end of next week. Two good deals I've missed thanks to the stupid student loan people...
