Would you sell your tavor to buy x-95?

If it's available only in NR length then definitely no; in short restricted length then probably, unless I find a CTAR first.
 
More choices on the market the better, we're evil black gun enthusiasts at heart.

For the x95, because of the storyline of the civvies NR version, I am waiting for more info and perhaps even for gen2 or so.
Whereas the Tavor is already at gen2.5. I would love a restricted x95 configured close to the IDF setup but I am moving away from range only toys.
 
I think that some will keep their tavors and some will sell theirs for the quest of the "newest and supposedly the best"thinking.In my case i too will probably buy one to try it out and sell if i don't like it but without selling my present tavor nor cancelling my order for the apc---many things can happen between now and then---as the libs drop a bomb on us and make all new stuff registered or reclassified----so unnecessary equipment dumps before actual product arrives might be tactically bad move---worse comes to worse u get a couple hundred less for your used stuff.That would be the difference of one day at the range for ammo cost--lol

Different market. The SAR was never as popular in the states as the Tavor is in Canada. I'm thinking the CGN price on used tavors is going to go down a bit once the x95 is shipping. If I was stateside I probably wouldn't own a Tavor.

The x95 appeals to the same market in the US that the SAR attracted, so how you can say it is different here is beyond me. The only difference in market between here and the US is that we have bought 1/5 (10,000) TARs in 8 years, where as the US has bought more than 50,000 SARs in 2 years.

No matter how you cut it the ratio will remain the same. In Canada there is 10,000 TAR owners which means 10,000 possible x95 buyers. In the US both numbers are 5 fold.

The only thing that is changing is the chance that there will be more TARs on the ee, so in the case of someone like Dilligaf they may lowball for a quick sale.
 
TAVOR and X95 have the same "guts", just different shells.

The thing that really affects civilian user is the LOP. Bigger guys my need find the original TAVOR more comfortable. People who use traditional scopes, or employ lots of more traditional shooting stances and positions may want to have longer LOP. The location of the charging handle on the TAVOR is also better for people with scope. ( won't wreck knuckles). I am a small guy, I actually don't mind the longer TAVOR LOP in my typical normal attire.

The X95 is infinitely better if there is a need to attach light and laser, simply of the relocation of the charging handle. This is way more important for military application.

Both magazine releases are workable. I am actually quite fond of the TAVOR lever release, but it cannot be transplanted to the X95. The X95 has a shorter distance between magwell and pistol grip, it doesn't have enough space for a lever release.

I love my TAR-21. I'm not selling it. (Officially I don't own one just in case the Libs come knocking on my door one day with their bans) One comment a lot of US reviewers were making on the X95 is that the mag release button was to far back (close to the trigger) Tim from the Military Arms Channel made a comment on how he was wishing the button was further forward so I'd be more like the AR. Right now he has to train himself to curl his index finger back to reach the release. I've got giant hands and would have the same problem. Maybe nobody would care about this, just me? I love the mag release on my TAR-21.
