MAC 1911 Bullseye 6" long slide

I have never seen one for sale in Canada. If you are looking for longslide 1911, options are somewhat limited here. At the lower end of the 6" 1911s, Wolverine sells a SAM and Bullseye in London was selling an Iver Johnston, both around the 1100 hundred mark. There might be other options through IRGs US web site. If you really want a target 1911 longslide, the STI Targetmaster at Freedom Ventures would be hard to beat but it is coming in around 2500. If you are not set on a 1911 platform and just wanted an excellent competition 45, the Pardini GT45 would get my vote.
I can get them, but with the competition for the 1911 market, I've not made it a priority.

Fit and finish is exceptional. With the product on the market now, I'd say it's above STI quality.

Are you meaning the Philippine made MAC Bullseye compared to a Philippine made STIs like the Spartan, or the higher end US made and assembled STIs? If the latter, I would have to remain a little skeptical until some first hand experience.
The MAC sure seems to get reasonable reviews and I'm not suggesting nice guns can't come out of the Philippines, but hard to image it besting a Rangemaster or Targetmaster. But 2K is not too far off their price point either.
Lol. You got me, and so true. 2K for a Philippino made longslide is a hard sell. Still, it is possible for manufacturers and distributors to do a little educating and myth busting (assuming that is what it is in this case). That, combined with a good track record has worked for others.
Obviously the US is a bigger market but the MACs are comparatively cheaper down there as well. These are retailing for around 1000-1200 usd, so not really in the higher end, more in the 'solid but good value' segment. So if someone really wants one, getting one through IRGs for 1500-1600 might not be out of the question.
