Just acquired 2 older O/U shotguns, just wondering where one would acquire one or two reasonably priced takedown cases like I see included with a bunch of the better named shotguns...

Something like this:

Factory Beretta case I believe:

Or do you guys just toss it in a long case and leave it assembled?

I'm in a similar situation. My semi is too long to fit in any of my cases - and one of them usually holds a 28" barreled pump gun and another an uncut enfield still rocking the 25+" barrel.

Any options below $100? (I don't think my semi would fit in the skb anyways cause of the mag tube...) Anyone have experience with the Plano Pillared Takedown gun case that Amazon has for $45?

Pretty inexpensive option, however it's not sectioned off like others I've seen. Would rather not have any of the parts clanging together...

You can get a SKB case (like your first picture) on Amazon for about $100. Also nothing wrong with leaving them assembled either.

$95.99. I like how it's set up but looks like it's just a soft case with zipper and velcro? Maybe that's all I need though...

I'm leaning towards the SKB case as I like it's dimensions a little better at 34" in length. I do have a hard case that's 38" if I need something more rugged.

I have an SBK case too. It is not a soft case, made with expanded, hard foam, well lined, and well made. Have used mine for a couple of years now with various o/u both in twelve and twenty gauge, along with single barrel trap gun. Have not had any problems, and would recommend it without hesitation. Outer shell is material, and does look like a soft case, but it is quite hard.

I bought the Plano Gun Guard take down shotgun case from Amazon a couple years ago. Very good case, I'd call it airline durable. 4 latches, 2 of which lock. Egg crate foam, I've had no problems with guns shifting.

You are talking about this one?

Interior Dimensions: 3.250 X 35.25 X 7.625 inches
Exterior Dimensions: 4 x 36 x 10.8 inches

Plano Gun Guard Aw Tactical Case is what I have for a couple of break action shotguns.

Nice quality, very robust and quite able to handle aircraft travel. The foam is the 'modular' square section which is easy to work with. It is not as good as the high end gun manufacturers, but probably more robust.

Candocad.

I got a dual sided soft case for air soft rifles. Each side has velcro straps to hold the parts and they're well padded. Stock and action in the short side barrels in the long side. They can carry straps and dual shoulder straps. Work great. While hunting I put them against the tree for more comfortable sitting. I use them for my ou and various sxs. They were about $20

This is what I use. You can get those on sale for around $100.00 or so. Works very well and is air travel rated.
