evening guys! just last week i picked up a trijicon dual illumination rmr for my acog. its a 7MOA amber dot and the thing is awesome. now ive heard that the dual illum models can be dim but from what i saw with this one i dont find that to be the case. well that is until today, i just picked up an fnx tactical. slapping an rmr on that is mandatory and they just so happened to have a green triangle 12.9 moa Dual illum. perfect. put that on my acog, which is already green fiber optic and slap the amber dot on the FNX...

now herein lies the problem. i didn't think to check the new green triangle, there both dual illumination fiber / tritium. they should be the same right? no. the green is much dimmer in ambient and direct light with the tritium seeming dimmer as well. my question is should i return it or is the inherent nature of the green fiber dimmer? and the replacement be just as dim? does anyone own the 12.9 moa green version or better yet both, and how do they compare? below are pictures of what i'm talking about. all are unedited right out of the camera with just text. anyone input is welcome, let me know.

First is Ambient light. overcast rainy day no interior lights on, pretty much the dimmest fiber optic environment before tritium. if i pointed outside the green is gone, no chance. the amber is faint but there

Amb light 80

Amb light 40 2500asa

Amb light 20 2500asa

next is a florescent light directly above the rmrs about a foot. the last photo i think shows it best. the amber bright and bleeding slightly, green not even close.

Did you buy the triangle used?

Reason I ask is someone tried to sell me a green triangle rmr last year and it was DIM as hell. Less than 1/4 bright than my other green triangle RMR. Seller tried to convince me it would "brighten over time" and would "wake up". Lies. It's broken. Green should be brighter in appearance than amber dot (which I also own).

Return it. You've been sold a defective one. My opinion only.
