Let's see some pics of your Pimped out Troy PAR

Why do people go ahead and install a buffer tube when they don't need to? I think the AR-15's main weakness is that buffer tube since it precludes the ability to fold the stock.

For my use, a folding stock is no advantage so the buffer tube is no weakness. I would imagine some others feel the same. There are many options for conventional butt stocks so if folding doesn't matter to a user, why not go that route and get a stock the works well for them.

I didn't "install" a buffer tube, that is the way it comes from the factory. One of the selling points of this rifle, to some, is the ability to accept many AR15 parts & accessories. You can install a fixed stock or a folding stock adapter if you wish.

Is there another way to swap out the folding stock for a standard AR type stock other than the gun specific adaptor that Troy sells for this particular gun?

Just a heads up to PAR 308 owners: The 2" Troy TRX rail that fits on the bottom of the .223 rifle for bipod mounting does not fit on the .308. The 2" rail needs 3 holes to mount, but the .308 only has 2 holes in front of the pump.

hmmm... so what rail will work?

I am wondering the same thing...

You can get the two piece side mount bipods which attach to the 2" additions pic rails or the OVER THE TOP (Phoenix or RND) mount bipods which attaches to the top full length rail.

Here is a cheaper version of the side mount bipods but there are items of higher quality out there.

Some interesting options, thanks Sqr!
Since i now have the 2" Troy rail, I may try to make some kind of adapter to have the rail project slightly in front of the handguard.

So any complaints on the fluted Troy chamber? I wish it was a standard chamber instead. Been debating on a Troy pump rifle. I want a quality 223 or 308 carbine for plink age lol. Anybody know for sure if Troy makes the uppers and lowers out of 7075 aluminum or if it's the cheaper 6065 aluminum?

Is this a case where it could legally take 10 rounds because it's a pump?

I still think Troy should make a Canadian lower. Mill out a slot on the magwell, and make proprietary 20/30 round magazines that have a projection on them so they will fit in the PAR magwell slot, but won't fit in an AR magwell. :)
