Yeah.........butttttttt, the world dint progressith buy them that dunt pense.

Giddddddddddddee-up go.........and sum fotoz's awff yer qwest.

A lot of pre 64 model 70's got destroyed collector wise being rechambered to .300 WBY.......Harold

^^ A lot of that was done while they were still in production and nobody imagined that someday they'd be collectible.

I know, it's nuts but stuff like that happens. Just look at the Stevens 200, which was replaced by the Axis. Fifty years from now people are going to be pulling their hair out because the Stevens 200 on EE won't have the original barrel lock nut, not to mention the "twig and leaf" spray-can paint job on the stock.

Guilty. I'll probably also regret selling mine too.

Is that a Husqvarna conversion? What had to be done to get it functioning correctly?

No, it is an FN factory sporter that was converted by rechambering the barrel, opening the bolt face, reshaping and polishing the feed rails and ramp, and lengthening the magazine. The same work could be done to a Husqvarna.

FN did all this in their 300 and 375 H&H factory sporters using the same action. This rifle just copied that work.

I have also seen this same action used in a lovely 404 Jeffrey by Ralf Martini. Used to drop in on him near Charlie Lake when we travelled down the Alaska Hwy. Those were the days, my friend! :d I really need to make a trip to Cranbrook.
