Every rifle is different, start buying different rounds and narrow down what your rifle likes. I have a browning x-bolt that seems to really like federal fusion 130 grain, but I've gone through a number of brands and weights to narrow it down. Once you find it, stock up on it. All the best in finding what works best in your rifle.

With any 270"s I had I shot mostly 140 Hornady sst"s and 160 partitions for the big stuff.I see nosler has the 150 gr Long Range Accubonds if you can find them,I think they would be great but never tried them in the 270.
H4831 was my go to powder but 4350 works good to,or RL22 if you can find it.

140 Accubond, chased by RL22 or Vihtavuori N165 [H4831sc works too]
Stay away from the Bergers for hunting, and the Sierra Gameking will disintegrate at close range if it hits bone.

I drive the 140 to 3000 in a 24" barrel. Very effective load. Dave.

My 270 likes Federal blue box 130's. Looked pretty good after hitting a black bear.

I shoot 130 grain Hornady STT's, interbonds, and Barnes. All shoot well. 59 grains of RL22. Best work up as in my rifle I'm near max. Look for a reloading manual. I have some 140 gr accubonds and 150 STT's and some GMX's, but my gun shoots so good, I have not tried the others

I have 130gr nosler ballistic tips and 150gr partitions for January when i renew my range membership. IMR 4350 to start, if my rifle (also a savage, an axis [two of them actually]) doesn't like that I'll be trying h4831 next.

130 gr anything with 60 grains of H4831/H4831SC is almost always a great combo in most rifles. I use 4350 with lighter bullets like the 90gr Speer HPs with good results.

For the 130gr /57gr of IMR 4831/Fed or Win brass/Mag primer standard load in all .270's I've ever owned or shot. For the 150gr [53.5gr of IMR 4350 same brass and primer or 54gr of IMR 4831] Harold

60 grains of H4831 with the 130 grain slug and 58 grains with the 150.
My load too. I only shoot the 150 grain Partitions or Interbonds since I use it for EVERYTHING. Am golden at 300 yards (max at the range). I think 2600-2700FPS? Would have to check my logbook.

I use the Partition too. I don't have a speed it but I would think your velocity would be a lot higher than 2700 fps using the 58 grains of 4831.

58 grains of H4831 behind a 150 grain is 2-3 grains over the Hodgdon and Nosler recommended max for that powder. Their max produces 2800-2900 fps in a 24" barrel...
