Trophy Room......Finally Finished......Last Pics

Well gentlemen day 7 was very productive, although not finished we're down to 11 shoulder mount sheep and goats. Should finish up tomorrow morning............so here's what we got done today.

The antelope looks out of place (if I'm allowed to voice my opinion). But man I enjoy looking at all the game though, thanks for posting

DG.......I hear ya but he looks out of place anywhere I try to put him except the African wall, but he can't go there. I figured since they probably knew each other out on the prairie, I'd put him with his old friend...........:d:d

He'd look better if some Albertan would guide me for another one I could put on the other side..........hint......hint.....hint..........

Which sheep you referring to Looky..........the life mount ? The only curl and a half is the Marco Polo the other tight curl and a quarter is the stone sheep life mount.

This is a stone sheep................

And this is my Marco Polo.............

Is that a North American Bison above the antelope?

Also which subspecies of elk is beside the caribou? Right of the moose.

Also curious which species the two caribous are.

Yes small bison is an immature 3 year old wood buffalo bull I shot and the mount and cape are really bad, but he's mine and I love him.........the two elk either side of the moose are your regular RM elk, the one below the moose is a Roosie. The caribou are both Porcupine herd barren ground, taken about 20 miles apart. The velvet one is in summer cape and full velvet taken Aug 4, the hard horn one was late Oct, just after the rut in full winter cape.

Maybe the antelope will find himself a little empty space by himself when you're all done hanging everything.
As for hunting them here.... our province has royally screwed up the antelope hunting. It would likely be a 20 year draw if you started applying today. As Remington Jim pointed out, you can slip just south of the border and hunt them yearly for reasonable coin from what I understand. (In fact many Albertans are doing just that instead of dealing with our ridiculous wait times.)
