So I finally decided to start the build of my dream AR. Being my brain child I won't be skimping on any parts and most will be at the higher or high end of the spectrum and cost. Going for performance along with cosmetically appealing looks. Onto the specs:

Already acquired/installed:
Battle arms development lightweight receiver set
Battle arms development ambi short throw fire selector
Battle arms development lightweight receiver pins
V7 lightweight Mag release
Phase 5 bolt catch
Rainier arms buffer tube+buffer
Mission first tactical minimalist stock
Magpul SL grip

On the way:
Cmc two stage flat trigger
Battle arms development light rigid 14.5 barrel
Lantac dragon muzzle break
V7 buffer retaining pin
Battle arms development enlarged Mag release paddle

Future buys:
Slr rifleworks ultra lite hybrid rail 13.7 mlok
Slr rifleworks adjustable gas block
Jp enterprises low mass bcg/ultra low mass
Jp enterprises low mass buffer

What she looks like thus far, opinions welcome!

Update after a month. Imported rail system and adjustable gas block from SLRrifleworks. Battle arms barrel and lantac brake installed. Cmc trigger installed along with Rainier arms avalanche charging handle. Only thing that remains is BCG and optics. Have yet to weigh it but it is feeling like its around 5ish LBS.

Feeling pretty confident as this is my first ever build.

Looks good, I really like the looks of that rail. You might find it easier to tighten your castle nut if it was flipped the other way.

Does the fit of the handguard against the upper and the centering of the barrel in the handguard look off to anyone else, or is it just the picture?

i think its ok, just an optical illusion as the top rail "grows" from upper to muzzle

It is the ion version, I used irunguns to import it and the adjustable gas block. Took less than two weeks which was great. If you're looking for a really lightweight rail, go with their helix rail as its only 8.4 oz with the barrel nut for a 15 inch rail. Compared to the ion hybrid 13.7 that weighs about 12.5 oz

To answer other questions, without BCG I'm at about 4000 in total cost.

The barrel centering looks off in the photos because it was, there was a mix up with the order for the rail system and they didn't include their barrel nut so that's why it looks off in the photos.
