I think I'm going to build myself a barricade for the range to try some different shooting positions, PRS style. I've read the precision rifle blog article on what the PRS pros are using and I'm having trouble figuring out what's available in Canada. Anyone care to list some vendors / recommend some products?

The first item I would like to buy is a barricade bag that I can strap to the foreend of a rifle. Suggestions?

The second item I would like to buy is a larger rear bag that would fill the void under my shooting arm. Suggestions?

Armageddon Gear will ship directly to Canada. Shipping fees are a bit on the high side, so look into their slings as well (also top notch) as well as their smaller bags. Grab one of each and you would be perfect for PRS

Skullboy makes some ... PM him... Some nice stuff and will be trying these out this season.

Thx for the shout out Jerry!! :)

We currently don't make a specific barricade bag, but we do offer a lace on padded barricade rest that laces around the fore end.

We do have a large bag which I use under my armpit for more support. That method works great.

You can find our bags at CGN sponsors Wanstalls and DS Tactical.

We may look at making a barricade type bag this winter......

You can PM me for more info.

Honestly may look at doing an Armageddon Gear order. Id love to support a small Canadian business but 693 seems to be taking a long time to get stock in on items. Was really hoping to pick up a Str8laced Bag or Run n Gun Bag from them.
Armageddon Gear looks to make solid stuff though

There are a lot of good options out there. Shipping from armageddon gear is ridonk though.

Red Star Targets is looking at bringing some stuff up from Armageddon so that should make it easier.

There is another company out of the states called ESC Dynamic Gear that have some good stuff and shipping is good. The communication was not awesome but they are a small business so I can deal.

I ordered a PRS sling from 693 Precision and it came in the usually time. They packed it in one of those plastic mailing envelopes then wrapped the whole thing in packing tape super tight. There was nothing to grab to rip open the plastic so I had used some scissors to open it. I barely cut any of the packaging but manged to end up cutting a bit of the sling. It was one of those nylon sling so once the side is cut they will just disintegrate. I manged to save it by sewing up the edges (grade 7 home economics comes thru once again). I sent an email to them just more heads up to let them know that is not a smart way to package the sling, that and an apology. I got nothing, no reply, nothing. Never buying anything from them again.

Well I ordered some stuff a while ago and was asking how my order was doing, as it's been a while and no response.

So you cut a well packaged product while opening it and it is their fault? I know it sucks but I mean c'mon man...

You will like the sling though, good piece of gear.

I never said it was their fault.
It was too well packaged, that was my point. They had it wrapped so tight that there was nothing left to cut that didn't have some part of the sling under it. I thought I had a silver of the package to cut but I mange to nick some of the sling. I know it was my fault. That is why I didn't demand a new one or try to return it, or rant and rave about. The other point was that I sent a very nice heads up email to 693 about a potential problem for other customers. I never asked or demanded for anything. From a customers service standpoint, when you hear off something like this you would at least expect a reply to an email. They couldn't even take the time to respond, or care. That is what really pissed me off.

You right though, I do love the sling. The only gripe I got about it is that it could be a little longer. I am a pretty big dude and I find that even when it is all stretched out I find it somewhat constrictive when I go to shoulder my weapon. Took a bit of getting used to.

I am a more regular sized guy and it is short. I had to move the mounting point down the fore end to get it to fit right. I actually wish I ordered it with some sort of buckles for quick release. Shows me for being impatient.
