Show off your LONG 12G SHOTTY (18.5 or over & mods)

I emailed Brownells this morning. Maybe we can compare excuses later ;)

I'm also disappointed that the bayonet (Ontario brand) I got doesn't seat down around the mag end cap. Looks like it ought to go on another 4-5mm.

Long? It's not a black and green 12ga but I threaded a cooey 84 (standard long barrel, 28" or so) and made a threaded "choke" that was a shotgun bore diameter tube that extended the barrel a good 30". The whole gun is taller than I am, and it patterns pretty well.

Sorry for offtopic post...

RE: Heat Shield: We settled out of court! I'll PM you details.
RE: Bayo: I'll post my DIY pics re fitting.

Supermova: +1 on pic #122. Nice! All it lacks now is an SGA stock and a... Heat Shield!

You keep your damn heat shields away from my shotgun dagnabit! Not a fan of em. It does need an SGA however.

18.5" 590A1, S&J mag extension, spring and follower, Elzetta light mount, Surefire G2, SOE bungee sling. And all the scars and scratches that come from being a working girl riding in the back of a bush plane.

I've got a Chinee looks like that, a Russkie, and an all leather one, but I've not seen a black one, nor did I ever think of using one on a non-SKS.
But yes, they are good, functional, inexpensive slings.
Full marks for recycling, and good hunting.

You shoulda got a black one tho. I got a few of them from Col. Mustard.

If Lever had them in black I might have grabbed one, OD green wins out almost everytime for me though. It looks good on every rifle no matter if it's black or blued, or in a synthetic or wood stock imho. My .22, sportered .303, Fabarm, and two grizzlys wear them.
