Guys, about a year ago I posted my boys laying about on the couch. As luck would have it, the boss went to town today to do chicken stuff so while she was out I thought I'd update the shot since I have added a few to the pile since last time. Bragging rights if you can identify them all.

Cheers
Geof

drool....

and an tripod mounted MG 42?

Fortunately or unfortunately I arrived in the frozen north in '99 so all of those are dewats. Long rifles and handguns are alive except for the two P08's and the PPK. You have good eyes :)

Cool.

Yeah, I've had a few DeWaTs over the years, but always sold them. If I'm going to dump that kinda cash, I want it to go "bang!"

Though that does mean rebarreling matching P08s, and buying SSD and TNW firearms.

Wow an original sling on a type 99 and your type 38 (?) has one as well. That K43 looks really good and I assume its not a VOPO?
Outstanding collection!

Yeah really lucky on both of the Japs. The Type 99 is an original rubberised canvas material. The Type 38 is that terrible Japanese leather but its covered in kanji. The K43 is not a vopo but I have to say the mount is a repro. I'll pick up one sooner or later but the price of those things annoys me. :) You also have excellent eyes!

You know I do understand what you are saying. There's two kinds of folks in this discussion :) Either you want pew pew or you want original. Either way you have tradeoffs. Those TNW's are really messy to shoot and can be a bit of a swine to get shooting reliably. I have a GSG-44 for shooting pumpkins so I get that. But when the law says your Luger is a prohib because its 5mm too short and rebarrelling means handing the original part over forever, well I look for a nice #### and click dewat and spend all my real cash on P38's :)

Japanese firearms are few and far in between especially with their cleaning rods, slings and other accessories. I wish there were more post about them here on the site!
I have yet to see a type 14 pistol up here, but there are at least 140 of them up here in working order, so who know when one might pop up.

True story. I try my best to get my rifles and handguns back together with a full set of accessories, correct magazines, stripper clips, cleaning rods, sight hoods, butt kits etc. All of that stuff goes walkabout over 70 years. That K43 of mine even has an original manual, extractor spares, firing pin and oil bottle in its stock :) It takes a while but you get to know a few useful guys and the impossible becomes possible. I saw a Nambu at a show at the beginning of the year and I was walking up to buy it when a know-nothing stepped in front of me and bought it from under me! Damn I am too slow at times!

nice collection my friend i might pull out my couch potatoes and post them they still work but at least you can display yours ....

There is nothing like firing a MG before breakfast... Bipod mounted or Air defence stand... Quad .50 was awesome too.

Siiigh, those were the good old days.
