If you work at the Study Center the following comments are not meant to besmirch you. I am unimpressed with the guns they issue, with their habit of firing cracker shells and live ammo in the same guns, Frankly if there is no one qualified on staff, it should be contracted out.

whats wrong with shooting cracker shells and shot loads in the same guns, crackers are VARY corrosive but if you clean the barrel right after shooting them there is no harm done. how is the study center going to contract out bear gards if they can't afford to fix their vehicles.

Remington 760. the stock is to long, the fore end is to far forwards and it's light and because of that it beats me up like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.

Remington 1100 magnum. it's heavy and only kicks out 3" mag shells

and anything in 17 cal

Welcome to the masochist who read this far. I have a friend who encountered 3 moose at close range and was charged. He had a 742 Remington and a spare clip. He had one shell left and 3 dead moose when it got quiet. You would have a hard time prying that gun from his cold dead hand. I prefer the 760 pump because it is less dirt sensitive and I can stay on target without dropping it down and I can't a bolt or a lever. However, I think the most useless gun was a semi-auto, the Win model 1905 .351, second the model 1910 .401. But, they were just learning to make semis and had to have a puny cartridge that didn't shoot from a locked breech.

I agree with those that believe that this is a trollish thread, given the statement in the original post.:p

In my view, the most useless gun is the one that's in the gunsafe when you need it in your hands.:bangHead:

Cheers.

Krinker Plinker kit..why would you pay like 400 for an accessory kit?

Well I guess when ones $300 rifle is already being outshot at the range by folks with $90 second/third/four hand cooeys that have been handled by more strangers then a 3rd world street whore, then one might as well try to look cool.

Just got into the claybird game and right now the most useless gun is my Beretta 391.(It's not the gun,it's the idiot pulling the trigger)God I suck!

Are you sure your shotgun fits you?

Find a trap shooter, or gunsmith that can double check how your shotgun fits you.

As small changes to the stock length, height, and other small things can make a HUGE difference to your game. :)

Any browning A-Bolt. But I give it to them, people keep on buying them. I guess if I could slap a high price tag on a piece of excrement and make a damn good profit I would be a genius too.

People bashing the 303's eh? I guess it didn't work to well for us in WW1 or WW2, I guess freedom sucks anyways.

Yeah Boomer nailed it with that post for sure Senior.
I agree with your assessment of the semi post as well.;)
Supers comment about WSM's being useless was funny in a 'special' kind of way.:p
I think that any shotgun when loaded with buckshot for big game is worse than useless it is stupid...
I think that firearms in general are only as useless as the operator...
agree with your stand on buckshot 110 percent . might as well use a grenade

Useless firearms:

1. Anything deactivated - either by choice or legislation
2. .22 rimfire in an assault rifle configuration - either by design, or through installation of aftermarket stuff.

I find those re-barelled, re-stocked, re-triggered and re-bolted Ruger 10/22's to be pretty useless. Kinda reminds me of a pimped-up Honda Civic :p

I will now take my position in front of the firing quad ;) God save the Queen:rockOn:

Um....the .30 carbine was never meant for hunting........well not things on four legs anyway.

Frankly I would vote for the Savage 99.....they are just FUGLY with their humped backs and all.

Hey hey Stormbringer. Show some respect for the Savage 99. I've got one in 30-30 and I absolutely love it. It is way easier to load and unload than a winchester 94 or marlin, and I like the trigger and the lever design.

Personally though, I think the most useless type of gun is those ugly over-under double barrel shotguns and hyper-fancy sXs, such as those made by Beretta. Just way too expensive and fancy for my tastes.
