I put a deposit on a .375 H&H I saw on the used rack of a local gun store this weekend. I saw a Brno ZKK 600 before and hesitated on getting it. Came back the next day for it and it was gone so I didn't hesitate this time. I have always wanted either a .375 or 9.3x62 in a European style rifle for larger game or hunting deer in grizzly country. I don't know much about the manufacture so I'm posting for information here. It says Voere on the gun and "Made In Germany". The year stamp is 1983. Looks like the gun hasn't spent a day in its life out in the woods. Not a scratch or bluing wear anywhere on the gun and the rifling and bolt face have nothing to show for wear. The store let me take few pictures of the gun.

You will love the 375H&H, I have a Ruger RSM and it is just fun! Not to mention the rifle I will take to Africa some day!

Cheers
Jay

I watched a video on it from a Voere spokesmen and I had a feeling the rifle was made from a refurbished K98 Mauser action and sure enough that's exactly what it is. Also a very weird pronunciation on the rifle manufactures name. Doesn't roll off the tongue very well.

That looks like a nice find. A real classic! Be careful, .375's are so much fun and so versatile you might be like me end up with more than one.

I've been told by many that the .375 caliber, either H&H or Ruger, is the real do it all caliber especially if you handload which is what i'll be doing. I already load my .270 with 4064 so i'll use the same for the .375 for now until I work myself up to a higher velocity load. I just hope this rifle doesn't stop me from using my .270 as I really like my .270.

Your going to love it! First rifle I bought was a M-70 off the used gun rack.......no regrets, I will never part with it!

A truly outstanding cartridge with which I have taken a lot of game. There just is no down side to it, even the recoil is very moderate. I hunt everything with one load.....W-W cases, RL 15, CCI 250 and a Barnes 270 gn TSX. I have taken everything from duikers to hippos and leopards to giraffe with it. It is a one stop shop cartridge..............enjoy it. I have 3 or so as well as a Ruger, 375 Wby and 378 Wby...........can't have too many 375s.

Ya know; if there was a situation where one cartridge and load had to suffice for the hunting world, and yet that world was still available to me it would very likely be the .375 and the 270 grain TSX too. It is completely usable for practically everything.
