Shell Capacity Limit ???

I have a Beretta A300 semi auto 12g and I use it mainly for hunting. The regulation here in NB is that there's no limit on the number of shells in a shotgun for upland game hunting (3 shell limit for duck hunting). What about the gun laws in canada? If the shotgun is semi auto, is the limit 5 shells in total like a semi auto rifle? Thanks!

For a semi, yes - 5 in the tube for your CHAMBER size. If you have a 3 or 3.5", you can often fit more 2.75's.

For a pump, no.

Semi-Auto, Centre-Fire in a shotgun is limited to 5 in the magazine (of whatever length shot shell the chamber length is)

5 in the tube for the shell it was designed for. So often you can fit more of the shorter shells in there.
