I see Prophet River has a couple advertised. Has anyone handled one in real life, or own one? They look like a nice rifle.

Thanks in advance for any input. :)

Got mine in 17HMR from Prophet. LOVE IT!!!!! The stock is the best looking i had on a rimfire, fit and finish is top notch, checkering is perfect. Rubber buttplate, hollowed bolt handle like older CZ's and BRNO's and 100% free floating barrel. Cant find anything bad to say. Will mount a Burris E1 4.5-14X40 on it. Be aware that the scope grooves are std 3\8th.

Sounds like a nice rifle. On a different note, though, I find it sad that an iconic English gunmaking firm--the oldest existing British gunmaker (since 1770)--is now putting their name on a mid-quality Czech product. In the late 19th and early-to-mid 20th centuries, C&H rifles (and shotguns) were prized as best-quality British guns, carried into the field by wealthy international hunters. What's next? Norinco-made rifles being branded Holland & Holland?
