I recently obtained a CZ58 in a trade with a member on this board. Amazing rifle. Wow. I just can't get over how smooth and precise it is. After putting 200rdns through it today I can say that I enjoyed shooting it as much as I do shooting my AR.

Now the fun begins. I want to change the stock to a Magpul Zhukov but I'm a little confused.

On magpul's site i see a Zhukov-S stock and a yugo Zhukov-S stock. I also find an adaptor made by RS Regulate for the stock.

Now for the ones that have gone down that road, can u please let me know what stock you got and if you needed the adaptor ? Also, was this an easy install ?

Why is that ? is this why I see all these offset stocks ?

The comb is too high. Same thing happens when you put a straight AR stock adaptor on a Vz58 (with the exception of the GuneXpert height adjustable folding/fixed AR adaptor). Yes, most aftermarket stock options are angled to make use of the sights.

1st yes as already said you'll need the YUGO stock for the RS regulate adapter.
The install is pretty easy, just one hex bolt (which is included with the adapter)
Make sure you put it in the right way though or you won't be able to remove the bolt carrier haha.

So what aftermarket non-AR stock could I use and retain my iron sights ? I really would like a stock like the zukhov but not at the expense of loosing my sights.

Check my last comment. It's possible to use irons if you do some simple modification. Otherwise the D-force or ACE stocks are straight, but they're quite low profile/thin so they shouldn't affect your iron sights

I did. But I don't like the idea of loosing the distance ajustement on the iron sites.

I'll check out the other stocks you mention. Thanks

You have to look for angled adapters. I think i saw one on EE, together with carbine buffer tube.

Original cz "coat hanger" folding stock is modifiable too to prevent cheek bruising.
