I guess I need a 7x57.... Suggestions requested.

Have you ever shouldered a Brno in the 21 or 22 series?
There is a reason they command the $$ that they do.

I have not, but certain features are important to me. A hinged floor plate is one of those things.

Yes, I thought it would work out well here on the 'Wet Coast'. And, as I've posted in the past, while I do like the full stock rifles, it's only in the more traditional European calibres that I'm interested in having that style in.
Well if you grow tired of it anytime soon, you know who to contact. :)

You do wonderful work.
Consider it a challenge.
I think you'll be somewhat amazed by the updated Brno.
Might take a bit of worthiness as far as value away from it,
but whom cares.
Dubble set triggers are fun...............too.

I believe there are already a couple ahead of you on that list... but Johnn could clarify.

There's a few locals that have expressed an 'interest' in adopting it but, naaaaa. I have an intro to Vancouver Island Blacktail Deer next fall in mind for it. I would've started down that path this season but, getting the cataract issues delt with first has had priority this year. And, I couldn't wrangle earlier surgery dates, so, .......... .

Its funny you should mention that Looky, at one of the last Kamloops shows we had a table at I parted with ( gave away ) a beautiful 22 F that was one of the nicest and slickest rifles I have ever had.
And for only one reason.... It did not fit nor was comfortable to shoulder for me.
I concur that maybe I am an exception to the rule... queer physique maybe, I don't know.
To make it fit I would have had to shorten the stock but with the extra bullet traps in the butt that was not an option.
Letting it go was a sad moment.... oh well, thats life ..

You are not alone... the fit is all wrong for me also... and despite the above opinion that the Ruger RSI is "half" the rifle, they fit me perfectly and carry and handle nicely... but this is why we have so many options available... what works for me, may not work for Joe Schmoe... no rifles fit me like Ruger's, which is why I have so many of them.

If you can't find a 21 or 22 brno the ZG-47's are nice.

Voere M98 could be an option, they have a Canadian dealer and offer all kinds of modifications.

M70 FWT would really nice too, and of course M77 or No1

Wow...............I'm off the eeg-nore list.
Privileged am I.

I may just have to build one if I can't find what I want - or sell the brass so it's out of my mind.

I've tried the Winchester m70 rifles twice now - and they leave me cold. I realize they have a following, but I just don't get it.

The floor plate on the model 21 is a very simple and elegant design. FYI I'm clumsy it could be more gracefully done if you aren't trying to make a video.

Or ream out a 7mm08 t3 to 7x57

Now thats funny too because I acquired a tang safety 7mm Rem Mag with 40 rounds through it that has a beautiful fit for me.
For me its a keeper because of that and the fact that it is a tackdriver helps as well.

Put a lighter spring in the release button and it'll work sooooooo
much easier.
Just remember to listen to the "click" when putting it back on.
