Well, Ukraine is not selling ammo for obvious reasons and there is an embargo against Russia. I guess just buy Norc crap and deal with the duds every 5th round or buy commercial.
P.S.There is a local store that brings in small numbers of crates. People usually buy them off right away. That's where I get my stuff from.

The last batch of norc stuff canada ammo had before the price hike has been 100% reliable so far. Pretty average in the accuracy department as well. soon as they get more imma buy another crate.
 
I just bought 400 rnd box at International Shooting Supplies in Surrey BC. $189/400 rnds is regular price. It was on sale last weekend for $165 but it's over now. Box says it's 1967 Army Surplus out of Czech Republic. Looks just like the modern Chinese stuff to me except for the head stamp. Haven't shot any yet.

It's pretty hot like most of the Czech surplus, I've run it in my svt's a bit. No complaints from when I shot it.
 
I also noticed that. My SVT loves Czech or soviet milsurp from 50s-60s. Got a crate of newer S&B corrosive rounds. Had to crank up gas setting by a notch. Thing wouldn't cycle reliably.
 
A not to be named retailer has a promo of (what was summer pricing $295) on 880 rds of Chinese right now. I ordered another crate to ensure in could keep shooting my Mosins and SVT'S into the UN/Trudeau Marking Scam future. I am worried this deal will end surplus supply as we know it. All cans would have to be opened and each round would have to be etched. To me it's also a safety concern taking some metal out of the side of a cartridge to print UN propaganda on it.
I just won't shoot surplus while it's cold cause my technique or tear down spray with hose, air compress dry, oil reassemble isn't very conducive to Winter. I own my house so no bathtub use for me.
