Hello, recently My father purchased a Hatsan Escort Missone, took him to a turkey shoot and it rained so I took the whole gun apart for the first time cleaned it and put back together, no leftover pieces that I have found... anyways I decided to take it out hunting as my wrist was hurting didn't want to use my pump, but I fired 2 shots and neither of them cycled. When I manually pull back the shells will eject, So I do not believe its the ejector, Not being able to see and I have not been to the range to test it yet not sure if the action is moving at all. Any Suggestions on what to do or try ? I Did not oil it at all really, I put a very light layer does the action need to be really oiled to function ? Thanks for the tips & Advice appreciate it.

Not enough information... what is the cartridge designation on the barrel and what shells were used? ..and did it work before you took it apart it?

Perhaps you installed the 'gas assemblies" incorrectly...

Sorry,
I believe you guided me into the solution now to test it. It's for 3" shells. I was using light game loads 2 3/4. Upon realizing it may have been to light i checked online and apparently these guns can be very finnicky with the brass height , length of the shell, the wad or the amount of powder ( Like any) It worked beforehand but I realized the skeet loads were a little heavier than the game loads I was using. Will still watch the video incase i did install somthing wrong although this shotgun is pretty simple but i am by no means an expert.

If the barrels states 12 gauge 3 inch shells, it isn't supposed to work with 2 and 3/4 inch shells...

I've always been told you can use 2 3/4 in 3" chamber, but didnt realize on semi auto wouldnt have the power, I now realize that. But the skeet loads that its seen the most action with and flawlessly worked 200+ times was with 2 3/4 shells.

EDIT: Will try it out hopefullly tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

Some semi autos will digest both light 2 and 3/4 inch and heavy 3 inch but that is because they were designed to do that... and it will state 2 and 3/4 and 3 inch on the barrel. If it only states 3 inch... then that is all it is expected to function with.
