Hi, I just received a promotional email from Burris, as I'm sure many others here did as well. One of the promotions is a coupon which entitles the purchaser of an AR332 sight to a free Fastfire III red dot. In reading the fine print on the coupon, it states that the offer is open to Canadians as well as Americans.

Does anyone know if red dot sights are subject to the same ITAR non-export regulations from the States as are regular riflescopes? I'll bite on this offer if I am sure to receive the FastfireIII (it's mailed to you after the purchase receipt and coupon is submitted), but I don't want to find out after the fact that the U.S. gov't won't let them send me the red dot. Anybody know for sure?

A quick call to stoeger Canada should answer your questions. Being the Canadian Burris distributor it will likely come from them when you submit it.

This is a recent promo? They had it last year but damned if I could find one in stock for a decent price. I'm sure the offer expired but perhaps they started it up again. You just rip the barcode off your AR332 box and send it in with the receipt IIRC. Downside is applying for the FF voids the warranty on the 332.

Thanks for reminding me...I sent Stoeger an email but no response yet. I'll need to phone them.

Did you get the 3x or 5x? Quick first impressions: good or bad?

This one just started.

How and why does this void the warranty?
