60 grain 257 caliber

I recently got some 60 grain soft point hornady bullets They were so cheap I bought them knowing I could use them them too fire form my 257 roberts A,I .. But what are the chances of getting a 60 grain bullet too shoot with any accuracy out of a 1 in 10 twist barrel

I don't know anything about how they would work for you, but they would work great in my .25-20!

The 1:10 twist should not be a problem unless you are in serious benchrest competition. The accuracy is going to be much more dependent on the quality your rifle and the quality of the bullet.

Model 70 featherweight.. took off the pretty walnut stock and put on a fiberglass stock form a 25-06 stainless Classic.. Had it bedded and free floated .... shoots real good with other bullets .. but never tryed anything lighter than the 85 grain ballistic tips ,, these are the hornady Flat point -soft point .. stock number 2510.. Hogdon site shows 48 grains of 4895 producing 3800 fps ... Not a bench shooter ) but do like too ruin a yotes day ..Those 85 grain will ruin their day for sure .. I have some 90 grain hollow point sierra bullets that make a hole too ,, Just thought I would ask around as these bullets i believe were used more in the 25-20 at around 1800 -2000 fps versus 3300 too 3800 .. was not so sure they would fly right at that speed out of a slower twist

I totally agree with you on that one, my wife has a Husqvarna single shot in 25-20 that I handload with 60 gr bullets. They are not exactly common to find these days at least in my experience.

You did ok on that one in my opinion. The only ones I have been able to track down recently have been at the local gunshows, Iv'e come up with enough to keep our 25-20 going but the 25cal. 60 gr. bullets do seem pretty scarce.
