I am at a complete loss!!!!! How F^**%#$ retarded can our RCMP possibly be???? I mean, ive been taking a break lately, the recent loss of my father, and a home move has kept me busy, and away from the forums, and my hobby for a couple, 4 months.... I come back, only to hear something that i thought could only be complete B.S, as it sounded to stupid to be true.... But, low and behold, don't under-estimate the "common sense" or complete lack of from our RCMP policy maker(s).

mags over 10 rounds are now BANNED for the 10/22, and ONLY for the 10/22???? how in the world does this make ANY sense???? Yeah, I know about the BX-25 ban, and how stupid that was, but to suddenly carry it over to ban ANY and ALL high cap 10/22 mags, only because of the charger "pistol"???? That doesn't make ANY sense at all!!!??? I cannot believe that (im thinking) One retarded individual in the RCMP can make a call like this, and have it actually go to law??? How can this happen???

I used to be very proud to be Canadian, and thought our southern neighbors took things too far, but this just takes the cake.... Im ashamed to be Canadian after S^&*^ like this is allowed to happen here. make s me sick. To single out one rimfire firearm and attack it like that????

Ruger should respond by building a slightly different 10/22 from the charger, and combat this issue that way..... Rant over, flame away.

--- ok, on another note. Does the RIA 10/22 fall under the same ruling? I mean, its NOT a ruger 10/22??? It shouldn't fall into the same category?? I have a couple RIA 10/22's, and they ARE NOT RUGER 10/22's.....

Anyone know where this stands? As stupid as the RCMP's decision is to make such a stallin-esque ruling as to ban the high caps for the RUGER 10/22, it should be a no- brainer that the same high cap mags should be able to be used in the RIA 10/22's as they are not made by Ruger, and therefore are not actually ruger 10/22's..... I believe I may be golden on this one?

Ginnz....Meh. I think ill go vomit now.

yeah.... ok, so does the RIA 10/22 apply? Did they ban all "butler creek mags" or just their use in the Ruger 10/22?

Limits apply to the magazines, doesn't matter what they are used in.
If you feel that strongly about it, donate to the CSSA class action suit here:

It's not retarded, it is enemy action. Expect more and worse before the Lib mandate is over, the RCMP know that the Libs won't lift a finger to help gun owners and that they have a free hand to advance their disarmament agenda without any repercussions.

Those people to the south who 'take it too far' don't look so stupid now, do they? They know that standing firm on every last thing, regardless of how seemingly insignificant it is, is the only way to stop crap like this from happening.

I thought id heard that other rifles could still use high cap mags? So all rimfires are now limited to 10 rounds? tube feeders too? (I know, i can research it, but this is easier)

Damn. im still in shock over this, this seriously PO's me.... Takes alot of the fun out of plinking now. This ban needs to be "banned" in its own right!

10/22 magaiznes cannot contain more than 10 rounds. That's it, that's all. Nothing about any other firearm, or tube magazines or anything else. Just 10/22.

I'm more fearful of the financial consequences to the null asset value of my guns and gun related gear than I am of the threat of gun violence this crap is supposedly designed to protect us from.

Everyone crys no one challanges it in court thats why they allways do as they please

Do you know why that is? Our system is not like the US, where anyone can challenge legislation in court. In Kanada to do so you must first be charged with a crime and then you gain standing to challenge the validity of the law you are charged with breaking. That is not just massively expensive, it is an extremely high stakes game that leaves you crushed and imprisoned if you lose. That's why so few take the gamble.

Go for it Goose....
I'll watch and pray for ya.... if that helps.

I love these eternal optimists who despite losing every battle think that somehow we might win the war.

With libs in power gun owners are perceived as criminals or at the very least wana be criminals

We cant claim that its unconstitutional because gun ownership isn't in the constitution.

You only get to play with what they say you can play.

And politicians know how to play on the heart strings of housewives who know nothing of existing gun control legislation or the uselessness of most of what has been imposed. All they hear is that doing anything to mess with gun owners is a good thing.

Go ahead... ask your neighbours wife... she'll tell you guns are the problem.

Ask her if its the spoons fault that she's fat and see how that flies.
