How do you like the 4x scope?
It's my favourite scope & perfect on the Mountain Rifle. I have another that may go on the 35Whelen I posted earlier in the thread.
Im torn between the 4x or 6x and now the vx 2 UL 3-9x33 is thrown in the mix.
The UL has more finicky/shorter eye relief I do believe. I'd try one out before you buy if I were you.
What action are you looking to scope? That's the thing I'm very limited to choice where I'm located, no real shops around to try anything so sorta have to buy it and hope for the best.... Suck's but living in Nova Scotia I'm kinda limited.
But good thing there are sites like this where I can get the suggestions from others. Thanks for the input I. Will look into it.

5 lbs 7.1 oz bare. 6 lbs 2 oz scoped.
The ultra light is a pos. sorry to offend those with them. I played that game and was quick to realize my mistake. If you are attracted to low fixed powers, find a zeiss conquest 4x. I'm not a fixed power guy, but my father has one and I admit its very very nice and wasn't big money either.
Really ! I will have to take mine outside and do some LOOKing thru it !Whats the problem with them them Josh !
Please advise me ! RJ
Looks nice! Details?

the ones that I've looked through over the years have all had a narrower and more finicky eyebox and quite short eye relief compared to non UL Leupolds of similar power range. Very sensitive to eye positioning. If I was going to go ultralight and wanted a Leupold variable, I'd stick with 1.75-6 or 2.5-8 in the VX3 line. Better glass, better and less critical eye relief and still very trim and lightweight.
Exactly what's pointed out below.
