My new custom .243 build

rifle looks great.
I noticed in the pic that your bolt is open. would this be an issue due to the large bolt knob that the bolt can open without you knowing, possibly causing you to lose a round or get debris in the action when packing? Looks like your elbow may have hit it causing it open?

No the bolt don't open at all on its own I leave it open as a secondary safety , I purposely did that

That is a wicked looking rifle! very similar to what I plan to do to my 700 VLS 243. How is it for weight? And how do you like the Grayboe stock so far? The renegade is what I am looking at as well, where did you source your stock from? Again fantastic looking rifle!!

Weight is good just like any other precision rifle stock , got it from red hawk rifles Colorado

Thanks for the info! Much appreciated! Keep me posted on how the rifle performs and if you make any further changes. I also have the trigger tech in my Remington 700 243, and I love it. How do you like it so far?

You know what the trigger breaks very nice but there's something about the trigger that kind of bothers me and I'm not sure what causes this . When I fire a shot and cycle the bolt for another shot , well the trigger does not reset , it's like the shot has already been fired . The only way around this is after I fire a shot I have to put the safety on then cycle the bolt and it's good to go , anyone else experience this with there trigger tech ?
The changes I may make is probly change the scope and go with a nighthforce NXS or gen2 razor . The PST that's on there is great tracks perfect glass is above average , I'm a fan of scopes with bigger dials and more MOA per full revolution .

That is definitely a faulty trigger. Contact Trigger Tech and they will warranty it. They are great to deal with (other than the price you paid....)

And where did you get a Greyboe for that price. I havent been able to find one for less that $600-650 by the time they land and that is buying 5-6 at a time.
I paid 319$ US from red haw rifles by the time I got it it was like 460$ something like that

I just got off the phone with trigger tech just a short while ago and they told me its an issue they had with a batch of triggers and now they recently fixed the issue . There mailing me a new trigger right away and asking for me to send out the old one .

Yeah I don't have that issue with my trigger thankfully, hopefully you get the new one soon and have zero issues from here on out. I absolutely love the trigger myself breaks so clean. Let me know when you get the new one and swap it out!
