Me too. New trigger and updated look, yes please. The current M&P was nice looking but this definitely tops it. Check out the comparison pics on the TFB page...makes the old one look a bit cheap!

I like the new styling, especially the lack of a beavertail, which I always thought was unnecessary. New slide design looks good. The new grip texture looks better, too. I never had an issue with the factory trigger, but I think I was the only one :) so a new trigger assembly makes sense.

My thoughts exactly

Never owned one...doesn't look that different to me...and as far as I can see it's only the trigger that's upgraded...I want to have an M&p but always seem to let something else take my fancy...please feel free to school me on what I'm missing here....thanks

Relatively cheap, reliable, nice looking striker fired polymer pistol made in the USA. All of those things make it appealing to me. Of course no one gun is for everyone.

Looking nice. I don't think from a first look it's much different and worth changing to. Just upgrade the trigger on your original M&P and voila, you have a v1.9

Great little gun. Handles well, fast follow up shots, customization of grip size, reliable as hell, mine is super accurate. Factory trigger was crap, APEX trigger fixed that. I like the look of the new gun as well, very nice details, and if the factory trigger is like (or actually an APEX), that would be sweet.

4 changeable back straps, bigger ejection port, looks like a different loaded chamber indicator. This is apparently the pistol they submitted to the new us army trials.

S&W should just put an Apex trigger in and sell it like that. It's a great pistol for the price point, but my god, that OEM trigger

I've always thought that, outsource the trigger for the apex type with the little blade type safety.

I never warmed to the M&P when it made its appearance a few years ago. But earlier this year, I couldn't pass up a range kit. And then....the Apex made this a keeper. It's my favorite polymer wonder.

whats with the cut outs on the dust cover at the front?

Dust cover??

Yeah I don't really understand the scalloping, and that extra crescent shape on the slide. And then the holes where your support thumb would land (edit: nvm...my thumb lands by the front of the trigger guard)...wish that was designed to get some more grip under that thumb. Are the holes to accomodate a specific weapon light or something?

i guess its not truly the dust cover but ill circle the part i mean.

so for what im asking look at the 2nd pic below, ill circle the offending part in question.

just seems strange to have 2 holes there.

(top pic is what is refereed to as 'the dust cover' on a 1911)
