Need to crank some whammo out for the rifle. In need of .223 bulk projectiles, anybody know of sales on some projectiles? Bulk stuff like 55gr fmj's, or soft points, low grade stuff for plinking so I can start a pile. Merry Christmas gun nutz.

Shipping cost killing the deals

Hey Grin, I know what you mean and have no idea on shipping costs to your location vs mine, however some of the prices at X Reload and other vendors make it worth it and there are some things I can's source locally.

Bullet selection and brass for our needs are excellent for what we are using here. 1 lb powders are typically 20% less expensive and even after ground shipping it's worth it...and I don't have the fight the boxing day crowds either to save a dollar. For mail order the communication X reload is excellent and I've got a lot of consumer confidence...coming from a guy that's pretty reluctant to purchase this way.

FWIW,

Regards
Ronr

XMetal (different than XReload) is having a free shipping sale though their bullet selection is rather small; I've been wanting to try their coated cast bullets for a while now. I ordered a couple thousand .45 rounds last night from them and though their prices were slightly higher than XReload, the free shipping saved $70.

Time to re-ignite the projectile inquiry thread. My focus for this time around is to find cheapest projectiles as I’m not a grand master, so top of the line bullets are not required. Campro, frontier, and other budget minded brands are what I’m interested in. Tends thus far had best deal, but wondering if anyone found others.

Almost impossible for retailers to have sales on bulk bullets, unless they are more expensive than canam/WM/tenda to begin with. The margins on bulk bullets isn't that great, and they cost a lot to ship.

For the "premium" stuff however, the usual 0.90-1.10$/bullet for nosler/hornady/speer is almost thievery. Someone in the supply chain is making too much imho.

If it is bullets you are looking for, please use that word. This is a reloading forum. We all know what a "bullet" is. And some of us know that that heavy pointy thing in your hand is not yet a "projectile". It is still just a bullet.

I shoot 50,000 or so rounds a year. Mostly handgun. 99% of them are loaded with lead bullets, not plated or jacketed. I pay about $70/M for DRG, from the maker, in Guelph. If you can drive there, that might be a good savings.

What's the address? What's the contact information? A Google search yields various retailers but I would like to contact them directly.

I bought all sorts of stuff to cast my own but I'm just not into it... I wish there was an Alberta source for bullets around $70/M. Guelph is a bit far unfortunately.
