Remington pump gun rebarrel to 9.3X62.

Busy indeed. Am out of the country again for a few days, however the project is still moving along. The pumper thumper will be a reality in time for all you Spring bear hunters.

Have two on the go, perhaps a third. :runaway:

You're some popular with our brethren to the South. But if I were you I'd make 'em wait until hunting season was over and you needed a break from the winter weather!

How's this project coming??

Are you doing the machining yourself?

I've read through your thread, what do you plan to use for a barrel?

Coretac solutions in Ontario are an importer for lumley arms and can get the barrel bracket for $192 plus tax and shipping

I have thoughts to convert a 30-06 7600 to 25-06 using a rem 700 take off barrel

Not with any attempt to hijack the thread, but here's another twist on the project. The .366 Wagner, chambered in a lever gun, like say, a BLR? I had planned on asking Ted his opinion on this when he was here and we had our get together but obviously forgot. Too many other topics on the go. Anyway, what are the thoughts on that concept for a project??

Should work just fine. I'm not familiar with the forend hanging system on the BLR but perhaps you could have the original rebored by someone like Bob Jury.

Last one I had here the forend slid over a tube that was threaded into the receiver, then a bolt fit into the other end to hold it on the tube. I can't remember if there is a barrel band or not.

Started disassembly of my 7600 in 30-06

After giving up trying to use a crescent wrench to remove barrel extension,
I came up with this

20 mins with the lathe and welder

Ted's visiting family until New Years. Once he's back home I'm sure he'll have an update for us.

I'll be watching!!!

Back home for a few days. Will be into this project during the winter with a friend of mine who is a skilled machinist.

As posted a few times earlier, the current plans are to fit a Husqvarna 9.3X57 barrel, and rechamber it to '62. We'll see how that works, and report back when we get there.

Happy New Year! Stay tuned......

The last time I spoke to you on the phone, you were making cinnamon buns (could almost smell them!!!!). With all your traveling I don't know how you find time for projects.
Do you ever relax???

One of the ways I relax is baking bread. Yesterday, baked a two pound braided sausage loaf for a gift, and a slashed artisan loaf. Today baked three sugar-free artisan loaves. Just had some with our dinner tonight. Have been pretty relaxed the past two days.

Never use white or bleached flour. Always 100% whole wheat, even for the cinnamon rolls, which are always a hit.

Healthier, so you can eat more! ;)

Oh, and I go fishing. That is my favourite relax mode.

When I really want to relax I go with Corey the Cowboy!

Awesome pics Ted! Thanks for sharing ! I'd be happy with just one of those pike. I'll bet those cinnamon rolls are to die for.

Happy New Year

Well, we are underway! Removed the barrel extension from the factory barrel.

Next step: remove factory 9.3X57 barrel from Husqvarna sporting rifle, and machine to fit the barrel extension.

Our plan is to time the barrel with the sights properly indexed on top, then rechamber and headspace to 9.3X62

Stay tuned,
Ted
