Hello and good day.

This arrival of the long awaited Ruger 77/22 RSI .22lr from Prophet River.

Some might not be following the dealer thread so I've posted my rifle here.

When I get a chance later tonight, I'll check the serial # for manufacture date.

I would assume 2015-16

Although it's a mannlicher , it's balances well and is fairly light.
 
I ordered one of these as well, get to pick it up in a few weeks. Very glad to see there is some figure to the wood. How are the iron sights? I'm not planning to add glass but may start looking for a new rear sight.
 
So mine surpasses the web site serial # date of 2015.

So that makes mine sometime in 2016.


As for sights, I'm an iron / peep sight guy.

No optics for now.

The one you see is your typical leaf folding rear with elevation adjustment.

Good enough for me....grew up with them on my 10/22's.

Although, a rear peep might be in the near future.

Cableguy...I'm with you on the irons vs optics. A peep sight sitting close to the bolt handle would be awesome!
Was yours a special order and any idea if its available in blued metal/wood combo?

I have a pair of 77/22 RSI's in LR and WMR and they are both excellent shooters... they tasted about 30 grouse and hare between them this fall. My eyesight demands optics, and I now have Leupold VX-2 3-9X33mm EFR on both of them.

Just saw this thread...... I was in on the PR deal as well....... mine will have optics, and I am still up in the air as to what I want to put on it...... very solid rifles though, have always wanted one.....

Nice rifles guys! I have about 3 on the "want list" ahead of any full stock, but I can sure appreciate a pretty rifle when I see one. Congrats!
 
I try not to look at this thread....must resist the temptation to buy! Would love a blued one in 22lr but seems to be avail only in 22mag.
Has anyone mounted a peep or tangent sights on these rifles?

Ruger has never done a run of 77/22 RSI .22 LR's in walnut/blued... not for lack of pressure... and some whispering in the wings suggests that it might happen sometime soon.
