Hey all,

Just looking at options for 3gun. If I were to buy an AR for use only with 3gun which would be a better choice? Which manufacture has a better reputation, build quality and warranty?

Specs:

Daniel Defense v11 Pro https://danieldefense.com/firearms/daniel-defense-m4-carbine-v11-pro.html
18" Barrel - 1 in 7 twist
Rifle Length gas system
Geissele Automatics Super Dynamic 3 Gun Trigger
7.53 lbs
15" handguard

Armalite https://armalite.com/shop/m-15-3-gun-rifle-18/
18" barrel - 1 in 8 twist
rifle length gas
Timney single-stage trigger
Raptor charge handle
7.8 lbs
15" handguard
* Also has a 13" barrel option

I am learning more towards the Armalite due to barrel twist, the tunable compensator, adjustable gas block and raptor charge handle however the price is about $200 more uneless I buy it through IRUNGUNS and then I have to wait until February which isn't a huge issue.

The Daniel Defense is on sale now for $200 off and can have it next week or the week after. Everything still seems great on it and I like the look. People say Daniel Defense is built with great quality so I am a little unsure.

Any advice or tips?

Thanks

ArmaLite! I have been using ArmaLite ARs for almost 25yrs plus. Never any issue....except one, running out of ammo.

After all, AR stands for ArmaLite Rifle.

Hasn't Armalite 'reinvented itself' (ie, changed ownership) a few times? Nothing against the company, just commenting that it's not really the same firm - for better or for worse.

Can't say I've ever read anything bad about EITHER manufacturer.

They have...., but most every company has changed hands too.

I have had excellent experience with ArmaLite products, with only one issue as mentioned above. Running out of ammo.

Can't go wrong with either one.
I would pick the one that comes with better furniture (what you like better).
I prefer an 8 twist personally but either will work well with any weight of bullet you choose.

For a 3 gun rifle you want: either geiselle or timney trigger, match barrel and free float handguard. 1:8 or 1:7 twist is fine. Both rifle seem to have all except the match barrel. I would avoid chrome lined at all costs.

For longer stages, the match barrel with match ammo is worth the price.
