I only use load data as a safe starting point, and I only consider the bullet weight. After the starting load, I use my own testing to determine the best load for my gun. I find those load recipes that identify some specific bullet and load to be an "accuracy load" to be essentially worthless, unless their gun and my gun are identical...
Lapua publishes loads for their bullets, but they also make Vihtavuori powder, and only list their powder with their bullets. Here are their
recommendations for the 6.5x47. But no Varget of course...
The
Accurate Shooter Load Map does show one load for the 123 Scenar and Varget of 37.7 grains. That is beyond Hodgdon's recommendation, and is obviously a load you would want to work up to very carefully. Once target shooters identify a velocity they feel is a sweet spot, they will push the limits to get there.
