Is there any way to be put on a waiting list or get notified for the next black badge course ? I check the website periodically but they seem to get filled up quick
 
I would assume you could contact your regional director or the local indoor range and get on a waiting list or find out the instructor and get on his/her list.

I would get the contact info for one or two local BB instructors and ask them to go on their wait list. When they run a course and need to fill it, they start going down the list...
 
You could also email the BB Coordinator and/or get in contact with some of the clubs in your area that might also have waiting lists and just need a few more people to book a course.
 
Over the holidays? Its all volunteer hours.

Best to contact your local club that hosts ipsc and ask them.
Usually they know more info as its often a local instructor hosting the course.

It takes some effort to get into the course, they indeed to fill up very quick.

Well, if you send an email at midnight, you should not expect an immediate response. It is reasonable if they respond sometime the next day is it not?

yup! This is true... I just wasn't sure if it was a 5-10 day wait similar to approval here for the EE forum... sadly patience is not a strong suit, however I am trying to work on that!

On the upside...as I am typing this response, I got a response from someone from the Black Badge Program (I think!) so yay. quick response time it seems!
 
Ontario Black Badge Coordinator Kent is typically very diligent and quick to respond. Unfortunately you just missed a flurry of BB courses that were held in the fall. There will however be a bunch more in the spring at various clubs. Know we're looking to host one up Haliburton way in April or May. Barrie will also likely host one or more.

Suggest you guys/gals looking to take the BB keep monitoring the IPSC Ontario site as the courses tend to fill up fast! Also check with a few IPSC clubs in your area and talk to the IPSC club rep for any upcoming courses they are planning. Often these courses will fill up with their members and will only be listed on the IPSC site if there are vacancies. Club rep however may save you a spot.

And while you wait for a course suggest you continue to practice as BB is not a 'beginner' course.

Thank you! I will definitely keep a look out! glad to hear there will be some in the spring though.
