They've been flogged on ebay for quite a few years now and are drying up and going up in price. Lots of them have been imported into the US by major dealer like Sarco and GPC.
The cheap Beretta and Breda receivers that we see in Canada are the aftermath of many Garands being parted out here and sold as parts kits to the US 15 yrs or so ago.
The Italian guns were sold as parts kits to America. The US guns were sold as complete guns in Canada.
The reason for this was all US guns or parts kits couldn't go to America. America considered them lend lease
and they thought they owned them. CMP has the US military bring back the guns to America then sells them.
Most of the 10000 that I helped sort were turned into parts kits. Most of the Danish M1d sniper rifles were
also turned into parts kits for America.
Do they get more selling one as a parts kit in the US vs selling a complete rifle in Canada?
