Hey I was just curious if anyone knows where abouts I can find an American ranch rifle in .223. I've checked a few board sponsors and did some googling and have come up empty handed. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Thought I'd chime in on my ranch. Love it. My brother and I both have one. Stretched it out to 300-400 yards the other day with 62 gr barnaul ,took out 3 balloons 3 shots.

That's great , seems like a handy little package. The trigger guard is my only concern as it looks like it's mounded in the stock . Does it feel solid?

Yeah the guard is moulded into the stock. It's pretty solid. I don't mind the polymer myself. It feels like magpul quality to me. I thought the plastic rotary magazines would be an issue but they have been really reliable also.

Thanks , how do you like yours?

It's a good little shooter, but the QC isn't outstanding. To be expected at the price point I guess. My stock is a little out of alignment with the action. Even so, it went sub-MOA with 223 (not so much with 5.56). I carried it for hours my last time up north, and really appreciated the light weight.

Makes a good flash with milsurp and the short 16" barrel :d

What rings is everyone using on these?

I have a 3-9x40 busnnell 4200 elite, I am thinking of going with burris zee rings low height. From most pictures I see, people seem to be using med height.

Having a look at one of these myself in 556, are most owners happy with this rifle for the price point?

Al Flahertys has them listed in stock.

I have one, was very quirky for accuracy untill I pulled the stock off and clipped the plastic nubs left over from the mold. They were pressing against the barrel causing weird things to happen, all better now!

I wish tikka made a 16" version for 223 and 308. At 640$ you can pretty well get a tikka. Just like the smooth action and barrel quality for a more affordable factory rifle

Like the OAL and have a crap load of 556 to use up. Am a little leary of running that through a 223 rem marked only. Would make a good truck/ quad gun.
If the american ranch 223/556 came in stainless that would be a bonus. $621.00 at Al Flahertys.
