so basically this is just like t3x replacing t3. more crap = more money.

Not from the few sites I've looked at. The sx4 is a couple hundred cheaper than the sx3.

Yep, I bought one in 1974 when the SX, M-1 first came out. I have thousands upon thousands of rounds through it without issue. Hard to imagine why there trying to reinvent the wheel.

Like you I am wondering if some of the parts are out sourced . same basic platform with so called refinements yet it is cheaper than the sx3 .

As long as quality control is kept up, where it is manufactured really doesn't mean alot. Browning built the A-500 in Portugal with parts from Belgium, but didn't keep control on quality, that didn't turn out to well for them. The SXP line is built in Turkey, as is Weatherbys repeaters, both seem to hold quite well as did my Akkar Churchill O/U. Time will tell.
