season is still open here but way to cold for this guy...

There was some good duck hunting next to fresh water here in the Metro Vancouver area last week and the week before. I saw a photo of a pile of geese some guys shot in the interior of BC last week too on another site.

Try breaking some ice in the semi frozen pond and the Mallards will be pouring in .
Surrey boys (4) shot 32 Greenheads three days ago in under two hours ...
Thats a Truck Load of plucking to be doing the next couple of hours..ok days .
Weather is supposed to warm up here on the West coast Lower Mainland and should the fields thaw quickly the ducks will be hard pressed to be fended off.

Chickadees are coming into the feeder pretty good now. Thinking maybe next days off set up an ambush for them?! Might even get a bonus Finch or Magpie?!!

Managed to bring my scattergun to vancouver island when visiting the family for christmas. After asking around i found some buddies still willing to brave the weather for a bit of pass shooting. Only ended up with 9 total but with beautiful late season birds and beautifull views im not complaining!
