Purely cosmetic... but just wondering why CC could not fit the 'CO' up on the 3rd line beside COLT'S MFG. ?

MADE IN CANADA
COLT'S MFG. CO.

or...

MADE IN CANADA
FABRIQUE AU CANADA

With the D underneath would be nice and simple. Ya I picky I guess. ;-)

If the French want fabric de ####solel they can pay for it. Don't give 2 turds what colt puts on there recievers, I would prefur no French, also would prefur not to pay for French being stamped on a rifle I purchase. Democracy non?

I would have loved to see both official language on my CC, I don't understand why they didn't honestly...

I'm just glad the massive gouging has stopped with the semingly (now) continuous supply of stripped lowers. Six months ago they were going for $400 to $450 on the EE and through dealers, if you could find one. Nowadays they are selling for 50% less at $200 apiece new in the bag with a steady supply. Still overpriced for what they are, but much better / more realistic at $200 a pop...

I have picked up a couple of these now that they are at $200 . Does anybody know of anyone capable of engraving the sides so they are similar to the markings on an issued C7 . It would need to be a smith or a store that can possess a restricted firearm.

I feel ripped off, the best price which I seen them were for $224.99 + tx.

Noticed the anodizing is lighter in color on these lowers, almost a grey shade similar to early Colt(USA) models like the SP1.

Soak it in oil and it turns black.

The only reason CAF ones look black is because they are shipped in preservation oil.

I soaked mine in G96 for three weeks, it did get darker, but I heard CLP works best for a darker finish.

Damn...these are $200 now? I bought two of these back when they were $400 a pop....Fuk. Guess I better buy a few more for cost averaging?
