Trigger trouble

Last week I bought a NIB norc m14, a late Xmas gift to myself,😎. I'll make it clear that it's going back to the store and I'm not firing it anymore. The guns been properly cleaned of it's packing oil and greased. So hear it is: I took it to the range for the first time yesterday, the first 10 rounds it seemed to function perfectly. No issues at all. I fired another round, and held the trigger back. As I released the trigger, the rifle fired again. At first I thought that maybe I had jerked the trigger, until I took another intentional shot, held the trigger back and the same thing happens. So I ceased fire, cleared the gun. So with an empty gun, I can pull the trigger, hold it back, run the action, and when I release the trigger the hammer falls again. I have total confidence that the dealer will take care of the issue, but I wanted to post here to get opinions from those more experienced with these guns. The serial number starts P14, does that means it's a 2014 production?
 
I'm bumping this to the top, just because I'm interested in an explanation...hopefully someone has the answer...
 
norcs are notorious for being packed with production grit and slimey oil. the whole firing pin has to be cleaned bone dry. the bolt firing pin internals have to be bone dry clean. the trigger group has to be cleaned and greased. off hand without the rifle in hand , that is what I would look at first. the tilt test as per sticky should be performed when re assembled. sort of moot trying to diagnose seeing as it's on the way back to the dealer, as it should, if it has been cleaned fully and lubed properly, would be nice to know what the dealer says. the m305 has it's learning curve, it's the most fired rifle in my safe.
 
Funny that you mention this because I'm currently having trigger troubles with my recently purchased m305. After about 160 rounds my rifle failed to function test. I've just today tried fitting the trigger group to the stock, while my rifle now passes a function test about 80% of the time when it fails it let's the hammer fall while I've got the trigger depressed and cycling the action.

So you're not alone in this it seems
 
Sounds like a pretty standard hammer follow issue.

A little material needs to be relieved from the stock where the trigger group rests at the rearmost portion of the trigger pocket in the stock.
