My morning was a usual start to go yote hunting and since I live near the edge of a city I saw my first? This was a orange/blonde house cat crossing the 4 lane road infront of me going about 100 miles an hour with a fox about 2 feet behind. That was the good news the bad news is when they jumped the snow bank there was an open field with no trees. Guess what I will see posted as missing. Never knew a cat could run that fast.

Or it was just another feral cat that the fox was making a meal of. Makes me like foxes even more!
I may or may not have shot them both if possible..... lol...... I hate feral cats with a passion....
Interesting..... I have a tabby cat that has frequented my favourite whitetail stand several times, I will admit that I am personally "torn" (please read less drama into that than inferred)......
A feral cat will take many song birds over a year, and I wager that this cat, like most others, is someone's pet..... and I value the life of songbirds over said cat.....
There are many times where I want to be the "equalizer"........ but I also feel that it is not The cat's fault, but that of the owner.....
My neighbor had this huge cat when I was kid junior he was a big beautiful grey tom cat biggest house cat I ever seen just huge. Junior was king of the neighborhood and not scared of anything seen him fight a boxer dog what a tough cat.

I have seen eagles here where I live flying away with feral cats in their talons a few times. We used to have an old pretty much abandoned curling rink that was a breeding ground for lots of feral cats in the crawl space underneath it. You always saw eagles in the trees a short distance away or circling around above it. Only thing that kept the population of those filthy things in check till they finally tore it down.
Neighbour at the lake started feeding the local feral cats. Population increased. That was when I started evening the score.
Neighbour asked me the other day if I had seen any around lately because they don't seem to be coming around to his feed anymore..."nope, haven't seen any".
I love seeing the little foxes around way more than the stinking cats.

Girlfreinds parents have a farm yard, refused to have a cat, naturally had mice problems even though they have foxes coyotes and hawks. Long story short, they ended up with a couple feral cats that turned into a dozen feral cats and you would have to look awful long and hard to find a mouse with in a 1/4 mile of their house. Which is great for me since its where I store my travel trailer

My Mom came out of her house one evening, and an Owl was sitting on the lawn eating a feral cat, also the neighbor saw a coyote running up the street with a cat in its jaws.

I used to do pigeon clean up duty at a friends farm. There was lots of barn cats at the place but I am guessing the pigeons in the rafters of the barn and in the old style silos were not easy for the cats to get at. I drove in one day to say hello, the owner was sitting at a picnic table taking a break between chores with one of his farm hands. After some small talk he asks, "do you have your gun with you?" I answered "yes." He says "how do you feel about killing cats?" I said "no issue there, do you need one taken care of?" He says "I need all you can see taken care of except for one", which he described in detail. I said "point me in the right direction". So he says "go to the south side of the house and watch in the grass. They are all in there right now." Chisholm was with me. We walked over to the spot and inside of about 5 minutes space I went through 1/2 box of 7.5 trap loads shooting cats while Chisholm stood there chuckling every time I rolled one. My farmer friend was laughing like hell saying "that didn't take long, you seemed to enjoy that?" I just laughed and said "now to the pigeons!" He smiled and chuckled and said "keep at it Frank, you're welcome here any time".
