Hi all,

I'm looking for a few items to complete some rifles that I own, and was wondering where the best place to find them is in SW Ontario.

Right now I'm interested in finding a bayonet, 3-5 striper clips and a sling for both a No4 Mk1* Long Branch Enfield and a Mosin Nagant.

I'm also interested in finding other milsurp rifles like an Italian Carcano or a French MAS, but they don't seem to very common from what I have seen.

Thanks!

Ellwood Epps in Orrillia.
+1 on this one but you gotta check their website several times a day when it comes to firearms, some things go really fast once they pop up on the website. I mean like within an hour since it was posted. A friend got himself nice "second hand" SVT for $199 and another friend got a of a killer deal on another "second hand" VZ58 with a package of accessories and mags.

One place often over looked is literally next door to Epps, Ray has some amazing stuff there. Wayyyy over priced in most cases but some impossible to find stuff as well. Don't know if he even has a web site. Worth a look if you are in the neighbourhood.

Two other routes, good old Ebay (and not just Ebay.com, but check Ebay.UK, Ebay.De, Ebay.Fr.......) and because you have a Milsurp (and may groove on old military stuff) visit local Militaria shows. In short to your question where to find milsurp accessories, you find it where you find it.

I found that the Orangeville gun show is a great place to find LE stuff, there are usually a couple vendors there that specialize in them.

Switzer's Auction in Bancroft (also live on icollector) often has extensive lots of milsups, accessories like bayonets, slings etc as well as parts and bits like stripper clips.

Another is Lansborough auction in Paris Ontario also online on icollector.

The firearms are in the first batches in the auction but then the rest like knives, reloading supplies, etc etc come later with ammo last so go through the whole list.

The key thing is whether or not someone with those certain items in that auction or a collection being sold off etc has those items. So it is often feast or famine.

Sometimes nothing or a few items will show up and other times it is raining milsups etc when a dedicated collection with a bunch of items shows up together which helps keep prices lower when a lot of similar items are being sold.

Next auction is early February so a week before go through what they have. If not this time then every two months there is a new batch.

Is this ad hominem?
