Shotshell reloading

Unfortunately the Edmonton manufacturer ceased production years ago which is is a real shame. I am down to my last five bags of their shot, and will now have to look elsewhere.

There is a company out of Calgary that I regularly see at the gun shows who has lead shot and other shell components. He also had some good deals on powder last time he was up in Edmonton.

The maker you refer to previously in Edmonton was a company called Superior Canadian owned by Garry Edwards ( previously called Blimiester lead shot). He basically was forced to shut down when the anti-gun and environmental (same people) groups went after his business for toxic lead content. It was all BS but he didn't have the support of the hunters and sport shooters to keep the fight going. He had really good prices and awesome shells of all types, but people could save 50 cents on a box if they went to Walmart. He shut down over a dozen years ago and had serious health issues. He passed away last summer. I bought most of the stuff I could before he died and still have a few dozen bags of lead shot and other components.

Moral of the story is that no matter how good of a Canadian product one makes, the masses will support a non-Canadian company with an inferior product because they can save 50 cents. This is why we don't have many makers in Canada.

I bought all of my shotshell reloading supplies from Superior Canadian, as they sold a good product for a fair price. As for the Calgary company, if it is the one that also sells European shotguns, I refuse to deal with him again after having experienced what he calls customer service first hand in the past.

I don't recall the name of the Calgary ( south Alberta??) company at all. I thought I saved some info he was handing out but who knows where I put it? He usually has a few tables set up at the gun shows with shotshell loading components only, never seen any shotguns.

Yes, Bilozir. They have the stuff but I refuse to buy from them unless they are coming up to a show in Edmonton. Dealing with them at the show is nice, simple and good. When on the phone or doing a fax order I have had poor luck and extremely expensive shipping fees (where what I was charged was double or three times the Canada Post sticker on the box... but according to him they don't charge more that shipping price rounded up to the next dollar).

Myself and a friend both purchased shotguns with stocks made to custom dimensions from him. We paid extra for the custom dimensions, and when the guns arrived, the stocks did not match the dimensions on the order form. My gun was fairly close, but my friends gun was so far out as to be unusable by him. He refused to replace the stocks with the ones ordered, and he refused to refund the money, so I will never deal with him again. I know of multiple people that also refuse to deal with him because of issues with their orders.

I will 3rd the issues with Bilozir. I just received an order from him, the shipping cost quoted and charged were way off. I contacted him on the issue, he did charge me the actual shipping cost, however I wasn't informed it was going to be 3 times more then he quoted me before billing & shipping it to me. Burned once, shame on me The question is, will I deal with them in the future?
